Big ideas to be able to discuss are:
Unit 3: the mechanics and effects of natural selection, aspects of speciation, horizontal and vertical evolution (the I, Virus article), genetic drift and flow, and the two sides of the cloning neanderthals debate

 

Unit 4: Basic primate traits, variability in primate traits and likely adaptations, specific human traits — consider how the complex of primate traits, and the solely human traits make primates generally, and humans specifically able to adapt successfully. Know the basic differences between the species we discussed.
